I feel the need to go somewhere warm right about now and this bag would be perfect for the trip. It's a beautiful warm red color and the ruching detail adds tons of character. Measuring 17.7"L x 5"W x 11.8"H, it is big enough to hold the travel necessities, including a good book or two. There is plenty of organization options with two angled zip pockets on the front and zip, cell and PDA pockets inside. Also available in black, it is practical and pretty and just begging to be taken somewhere.
$1690.

Flirty meets sophistication in this pretty bag. Like the perfect little black dress, it is classy and understated with just enough pizazz to stand out in the crowd. Soft layers of leather ruffles wrap around and overlap, creating an interesting texture that begs to be touched. A simpled padded strap is dressed up with shiny brass rings and an off-center little cuff just for fun. The top is secured with a magnetic snap closure and the interior features one zip pocket. Measuring 11'' W x 11'' H, the bag sells for

I've been trying to decide which handbag I will be asking Santa to bring me this year. I am in the market for a bag that is large, durable and goes with anything. I have it narrowed down to a few, including this one. While it is also available in a gorgeous denim blue suede with gunmetal hardware, this black leather with oxidized copper hardware is better suited for every day use. The pleating at the bottom adds a casual softness to the bag and I love the detachable braided chain strap. In fact, why would you ever want to detach it? Lined in logo jacquard, the bag measures 15 ½"H x 13 ½"W x 6"D and features interior zip and cell phone pockets.

There is something familiar about this bag that I can't quite put my finger on. I feel I've seen the color and the top-stitched handles before, but the elongated shape is definitely fresh. A roomy 15" x 12½", the bag sports gold-tone hardware and an interesting braided detail. What I like best is the wide 11½" straps. A bag this size can get pretty heavy when loaded and that extra support makes it a lot easier on the shoulder. With a magnetic snap closure, the interior has both zipper and cellphone pockets.

You would be hard pressed to find a handbag more feminine and simply styled than this one. This bag stands out more for what isn't there than what is. The absence of hardware, pleats, zippers and logo plates is refreshing and I love the powder blue color. Made from soft Italian leather, it has a magnetic flap closure and two zippered interior pockets as well as a cell phone pocket. Also available in black, red and pink, the bag measures 12 ½" x 7" x 3 ½" and sells for
$185. Make it yours with a monogram for an additional $20.

Rich chocolate suede accented with a giant gold-tone buckle, this bag is stylish and smart. Trimmed with black patent leather and tonal topstictching, the business-like bag gets a dash of flash from a slim gold strip on the rolled patent handle. Made in Italy, the bag is on sale for

Not only is this bag just about the perfect size for every day use, the wide open shape might it make it easier to locate your keys at the bottom of it. The slightly pebbled dark brown leather gleams next to the gold-tone hardware and the bag is chock full of zipper storage - front, back and side. Another zipper closes the top and the interior is lined in fabric and features yet another zip pocket. The shoulder strap has a 9½ " drop and a snap-close grip. Overall, the bag measures 13'' W x 10½'' tall and 5½'' deep.

The funky texture of this bag reminds me of carved wood and just begs to be touched. With minimal hardware in the form of gold-tone rings and handle attachments as well as the discreetly placed logo plate on the sides, the gorgeous leather takes the spotlight. It can be carried by the 3½" padded handles or over the shoulder with a slim detachable strap. Measuring 14½" W by 14" H by 2" D, the bag has a long zip top, is lined in brown cotton and features an internal zip pocket.

I don't generally go for Juicy Couture, but this bag caught my eye. I think it is the subtle pink color peeking out beneath the gold metallic leather that gives this bag a touch of unexpected sophistication. That, and the fact that the leather itself isn't blindingly bright. With a flirty little bow and classic kiss-lock closure, this clutch would actually look good on an adult. And at
$95, you could get it in both silver and gold.

This is one gorgeous bag. The chunky black 'jewel' embellishment is pretty on its own, but I love the way it is attached to the flap with soft satin ribbon. A simple suede strap would have worked just fine on this bag, but the snake chain adds much more interest and versatility - it coverts from a shoulder to a wrist strap. Available in deep black suede as shown or in a lighter camel color, it measures 10" x 5½" x 3" and sells for
$1335.

This isn't just a beautiful handbag. It's an original work of art created by mixing unusual materials with traditional Hawaiian techniques. This feathered creation features teal-colored sueded silk charmeuse hand-embellished with richly colored peacock feathers. The stunningly original bag is finished with a handmade clay tile closure and a long, soft strap. This delicate bag is definitely for special-occasions only. Measuring 10"H by 9"W, it sells for $730 at

Why you would need a large safety pin and razor blade on your handbag is beyond me, but I kind of like the edgy look. Trimmed with a zipper and a few well-placed studs, this leather bag is available in a range of colors including a rather boring cream and a vibrant turquoise. Lined in hot pink suede, it's funky without being too obvious.
$490.

While I do like the combination of pink and black, this pattern makes me a little dizzy. There is so much to look at with this bold little bag - sleek silver-tone hardware, silver-threaded embroidery, beads, patent and metallic leather, and a little bit of neutral peeking out among the cutouts. Lined in satin, this bag is also available in an even busier-looking black, red and white version. Measuring 10½" wide by 6" tall by 1½" deep, it has a 5½" drop strap and sells for
$2752.

Broken mirrors are said to be bad luck, but I think I would take my chances with this clutch. Like bringing your own disco ball to the party, this evening bag will add sparkle and shine to a night out. Inlaid with reflective silver tiles, this unique bag opens with a hidden magnetic closure and measures 6" x 3½" x 2½". It is lined with white microsuede and sells for
$1130.

One look at this gorgeous floral clutch and it is easy to see why Leiber was named the
most prestigious handbag brand in the Luxury Institute's 2007 Luxury Brand Status Index survey. Covered in Austrian crystals and trimmed in gold-tone metal, the clutch is feminine and colorful. An optional 15" chain strap is included and the interior is lined in napa leather. Measuring 3 ¼"H x 6"W x 1 ¾"D, the clutch is hand-crafted and sells for
$3,595.
